2012 Brut Reserve used in RCN ceremonial naming of Harry DeWolf

On the afternoon of Friday October 5th, thousands of Halifax Shipyard shipbuilders, along with the ship’s company, joined Madame Sophie Grégoire Trudeau to mark the formal naming of Canada’s first Arctic and offshore patrol ship. The name of this important vessel, Harry DeWolf, was chosen in honour of wartime Canadian naval hero Vice-Admiral Harry DeWolf. Sophie Gregoire Trudeau presided over the official naming, breaking a bottle of 2012 Benjamin Bridge Brut Reserve against the bow of the 103 metre-long vessel, while declaring, “I name you Harry DeWolf. Bénit soit ce navire ainsi que tous les hommes et femmes qui navigueront à son bord.” (Blessed be this ship as well as all men and women sailing on it). Benjamin Bridge was incredibly honoured to have our newly released 2012 Brut Reserve be part of this significant milestone for Nova Scotia and Canada as a whole.
